*DESCRIPTION OF ACTIVITIES:*

At different locations (Nova Gorica, Udine and Trieste) four representative samples of soil will be collected:
- Selection of representative nutrients and pollutants (pesticides and drugs), whose mobility will be tested in microcosm experiments,
- Layout and verification of analytical methods for the determination of nutrients and pollutants used in microcosm experiments,
- Construction and testing of appropriate columns for the execution of a microcosm experiments,
- Implementation microcosm experiments,
- Evaluation of the results.

*Additional corrective measures:*

- Acquired knowledge on soil contamination in various parts of the project area and the potential impacts of different agricultural practices in both countries,
- Acquired knowledge regarding the potential risk of surface,
- Acquired knowledge of chemical analytical methods for the determination of various nutrients and pollutants in environmental samples,
- Lessons learned for the proper implementation of the real experiment,
- Obtained practical knowledge in the field, knowledge of proper sampling, sample preparation for chemical analysis and interpretation of results.
